About This Role
- Lead end-to-end design, development, and modernization of enterprise applications using Progress 4GL / OpenEdge ABL ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Define technical architecture and drive modernization of legacy systems including refactoring, optimization, and integration improvements.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, support Agile practices, and collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Progress 4GL / OpenEdge ABL development.
- Proven expertise in enterprise application design, database management, query optimization, and system integrations (APIs, web services).
- Strong skills in scalable application architecture, software engineering best practices, and application lifecycle management.
- Work Experience Required: 10+ years in Progress 4GL / OpenEdge ABL
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced technical leader with strong architectural and modernization skills in legacy enterprise applications using Progress OpenEdge ABL.
- Comfortable working in Agile environments, leading code quality efforts, and mentoring engineering teams.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), DevOps practices, and complex system integrations in large-scale enterprise contexts.
