About This Role
- Own the strategy, architecture, and execution of an enterprise-scale, cloud-native data platform supporting analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives.
- Lead and grow a team of data engineers, managing sprint planning, delivery cadence, and recruitment to maintain a high-performing team.
- Implement data governance, data quality, security standards, and DataOps best practices including CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and documentation.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
- 10+ years of hands-on data engineering experience with at least 5 years in a people management role leading data platform or infrastructure teams.
- Expertise with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Glue, Snowflake, Databricks), big data technologies, and ETL/ELT design.
- Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect), streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis), and transformation frameworks (dbt, Spark).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced leader skilled at aligning data platform technical roadmap with broader engineering and product strategy in a cloud-native environment.
- Strong domain experience or understanding in healthcare/health insurance data and regulatory standards like HIPAA/PHI preferred but not mandatory.
- Proven ability to build and mentor teams in a globally distributed setting, managing cross-functional stakeholder collaboration effectively.
