About This Role
- Own the health, performance, and scalability of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis database environments across the infrastructure estate.
- Leverage Dynatrace for deep database observability, root cause analysis, and capacity planning to preempt issues and optimize resource use.
- Design and implement automation and self-healing scripts (Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform) for database provisioning, failover, CI/CD integrations, and routine maintenance tasks.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years experience with PostgreSQL including advanced features like MVCC and WAL.
- 3+ years managing production MongoDB environments including sharding and security hardening.
- Experienced with Redis management at scale and use of Dynatrace or comparable APM tools for monitoring databases.
- Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible or Terraform) and scripting languages (Python or Bash).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced polyglot DBA comfortable across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis with strong software engineering practices applied to DB operations.
- Hands-on with monitoring and observability platforms like Dynatrace to drive proactive performance engineering and incident prevention.
- Skilled in infrastructure automation and DevOps collaboration, integrating databases into IaC and CI/CD workflows in complex environments.
