About This Role
- Own and resolve escalated complex network incidents involving routing, switching, DNS, CDN, and connectivity within defined SLAs.
- Lead root-cause analysis, design and validate permanent fixes, and reduce incident recurrence through engineering and process changes.
- Act as technical lead on major incidents, mentor Network Engineers, develop runbooks, and contribute to automation and network reliability improvements in a 24x7 rotational shift model.
Minimum Requirements
- 5-8 years experience in network engineering, operations, or infrastructure operations with escalation and root-cause ownership.
- Strong hands-on expertise in routing and switching (BGP/OSPF), DNS, firewalls, load balancing, CDN, and network troubleshooting tools (packet capture, flow analysis).
- Experience with network automation/scripting (Python, Ansible or equivalent) and familiarity with monitoring/observability and ITSM tooling.
- Willingness and ability to work rotational 24x7 shift and on-call schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced senior escalation network engineer comfortable leading complex incident diagnosis and driving permanent remediation in high-pressure environments.
- Skilled in root-cause analysis and mentoring junior engineers, with a strong operational focus on network reliability and incident reduction.
- Familiar with large-scale cloud networking, SRE/DevOps practices, and network automation to enhance performance and reduce toil.
