Develop and maintain production Java/Spring Boot 3 microservices ensuring accuracy, compliance, and reliability of financial billing-account data across distributed systems and multiple datastores.
Design and implement reliable event-driven workflows with safe retry and idempotency; handle transactional consistency and concurrency at scale.
Deliver production-ready code with unit/integration testing, schema migration, external REST/SDK integration, and observe resilience and deployment safety using Datadog and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
Minimum Requirements
5+ years of backend engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot 3 in production microservices.
Experience with GraphQL (Netflix DGS or Apollo Java/Kotlin client) and at least one messaging system from AWS SQS, Apache Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
Proven skills with JPA/Hibernate, Spring Data JPA, MySQL/Aurora including transactional design and schema migration.
Candidates must be based in APAC with full India Standard Time coverage; contract role at 40 hours/week through March 2027.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in building financial services related to billing or payments in distributed, microservices-based backend systems.
Comfortable working independently on correctness-critical, event-driven backend workflows utilizing advanced transactional and concurrency control designs.
Familiar with continuous delivery environments involving GitLab CI/CD, Datadog monitoring for deployment safety, and responsible use of AI coding assistants with manual code validation.
