Tier-1 employer and metro location increase competition, niche infra specialization reduces density.
Deep infrastructure, hypervisor, and cloud migration expertise limits cross-industry transferability.
Explicit 6+ years requirement and mandatory hypervisor, cloud, and IaC skills enforce strict shortlisting.
Own discovery, design, and delivery of migration workstreams migrating Tableau's legacy hypervisor/VM infrastructure to Salesforce cloud-managed infrastructure.
Build, operate, and automate scalable, secure AWS public cloud solutions and reusable migration frameworks supporting future acquisitions and cloud operations.
Collaborate across cross-functional infrastructure teams to ensure continuity of services, implement infrastructure as code, and maintain operational readiness including on-call responsibilities.
6-8+ years of infrastructure engineering experience with strong cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps background.
Hands-on experience with hypervisor/VM environments (e.g., VMware vSphere, ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM) and/or public cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
Proven experience migrating legacy VM workloads to public/private cloud at scale using appropriate strategies.
Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, infrastructure security, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experienced in navigating and documenting complex legacy infrastructure environments and producing structured architecture and effort plans.
Comfortable coding across infrastructure automation (Python, Terraform), AWS SDK/API development, hypervisor internals, network scripting, and systems-level languages (Go/Java).
Able to communicate clearly with multi-disciplinary infrastructure teams and stakeholders, prioritizing work based on risk and business impact in a fast-paced delivery environment.
