About This Role
- Design and deliver large-scale Java microservices and data pipelines on GCP, focusing on architecture, performance tuning, and cross-team leadership.
- Own services deployed on GCP including Pub/Sub, Dataflow, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Define and implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code; mentor engineers on automation and testing strategies to maintain code quality.
Minimum Requirements
- 9+ years professional software engineering experience with deep Java expertise and technical leadership in large systems.
- Hands-on experience with GCP services (Pub/Sub, Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Compute/GKE) and building streaming and batch data pipelines.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) including schema design, performance tuning, and stored procedures.
- Work Experience Required: 9+ years experience in a global banking, insurance, or financial organization; Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in designing and operating microservices architecture at scale in a financial sector environment.
- Strong background in distributed systems, concurrency, performance tuning, and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure as code).
- Capable of mentoring engineers, driving testing discipline (TDD/BDD), and leading cross-functional teams in a complex technical environment.
