Engineering Manager (Cloud Infra)

Lead and mentor a cloud engineering team managing one of the world’s largest private Kubernetes-based cloud infrastructures supporting thousands of eBay applications.

Own the full software lifecycle for cloud platform features ensuring delivery on schedule with focus on quality, scalability, observability, security, and automation.

Collaborate cross-functionally with SRE, product, operations, security, and fleet management teams to optimize cloud infrastructure availability, resource allocation, and compliance.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

10+ years of software engineering experience including 3+ years in people management or technical leadership roles.

Deep expertise in cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, containerization, service mesh, microservices, and strong understanding of DevOps and SRE principles.

Experience working with large-scale cloud infrastructure, networking, security, storage, and collaborating with distributed global teams.

Proven leader in managing and scaling cloud engineering teams within large technology or ecommerce organizations.

Technical hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based private cloud platforms including lifecycle management and automation with strong SRE collaboration.

Strategic thinker with experience in balancing security, usability, cost optimization, and product impact in complex cloud environments.
