About This Role
- Own and design algorithms for task allocation, routing, and traffic management across a fleet of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).
- Validate algorithm changes using simulation and live fleet data to ensure performance and prevent regressions.
- Develop metrics and tools to monitor and optimize fleet throughput, congestion, and idle time, collaborating with platform and robotics teams.
Minimum Requirements
- 6 years of software engineering experience with hands-on algorithmic problem solving (scheduling, routing, graph search, optimization, or similar).
- Strong computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, complexity analysis, and concurrency correctness.
- Experience with simulation, backtesting or data-driven validation for algorithm changes before production deployment.
- Proficiency in at least one systems programming language such as Python or C++.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced with multi-robot or multi-agent systems, path planning, traffic, or scheduling problems (preferred but not mandatory).
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment catering to industrial customers with live deployments.
- Able to independently own key algorithm areas and contribute to tooling improvements, mentoring, and code review within the fleet manager team.
