About This Role
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure build and infrastructure tools used by global development and test teams.
- Create new software features and tools for vulnerability management to enhance engineering productivity on Akamai's infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and optimize build performance across multiple platforms and architectures.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming with Python, Java, Go, or C/C++.
- Experience with multi-platform build systems (e.g., CMake, Bazel) and multi-architecture compilation (AArch64/ARM, Intel/AMD).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in service-oriented architecture, REST APIs, microservices, and databases with SQL.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
- Able to work on security, compliance, and adhere to SLAs within a high-scale compute infrastructure environment.
