About This Role
- Lead SAP BW landscape analysis, remediation, and migration strategies related to S/4HANA and cloud data architectures including Databricks, Datasphere, and BDC.
- Perform detailed lineage and usage analysis of BW objects and reports, mapping data flows to modern cloud platforms and supporting reporting landscape rationalization.
- Deliver technical reports on BW optimization, data debt analysis, and roadmap for transitioning legacy workloads into cloud data products aligned with global system architecture needs.
Minimum Requirements
- 15+ years hands-on experience with SAP BW (7.x and/or BW/4HANA) including BDC migrations and medallion architecture setup.
- Strong expertise with BW object types, BEx Query Designer, BW lineage analysis, and SAP Analytics Cloud customization.
- Experience with Databricks Delta Lake, Lakehouse architecture on Azure and GCP, cloud data pipelines, and SAP Datasphere/BDC concepts.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced SAP data architect with a blend of deep SAP BW/BW4HANA and modern cloud data platform (Databricks, Azure, GCP) skills suited for complex global migrations.
- Proficient in technical analysis and mapping of legacy SAP BW data models to next-generation SAP Business Data Cloud and Lakehouse architectures.
- Familiar with multi-region SAP BW projects, consulting environments (such as system integrators or Big 4), and capable of delivering analytical reports to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
