About This Role
- Lead modernization of legacy Java/J2EE applications to cloud-native AWS and scalable microservices architectures across Helios platforms.
- Define architecture patterns and design principles, lead design/code reviews, and enforce coding standards to ensure maintainable and scalable solutions.
- Drive proofs-of-concept and their production adoption, mentor engineers on design principles, and collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD and containerization readiness.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong Java/J2EE development and technical leadership.
- Proven expertise in software architecture, object-oriented design, Spring framework, REST/JSON APIs, and distributed system design.
- Experience with containerization (Docker), Kubernetes, DevOps/CI-CD pipelines, and modernization of legacy enterprise applications to microservices.
- Experience working with software systems in industrial domains like autonomous vehicles, mining, or construction; familiarity with machine-to-cloud and edge-to-cloud communication.
