About This Role
- Architect, manage, and optimize enterprise Microsoft SQL Server platforms across on-premise and cloud environments.
- Lead performance tuning, high-availability, disaster recovery, and backup/recovery strategies for critical database systems.
- Automate database operations via infrastructure-as-code and configuration tools while collaborating across teams and mentoring junior engineers.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years of experience managing enterprise Microsoft SQL Server database environments.
- Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server 2016–2022 including SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, T-SQL, and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with high-availability technologies (Always On AG, FCI, Log Shipping) and security features (TDE, Row-Level Security).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in both on-premise and cloud (AWS, Azure) database platform design and troubleshooting.
- Skilled in automation and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef for database lifecycle operations.
- Able to interact effectively with technical teams and executive stakeholders to drive platform improvements.
