About This Role
- Design, develop, enhance, and support business-critical AS400 software applications to meet client and business requirements.
- Serve as the key liaison among Product Management, clients, and engineering teams ensuring alignment on technical solutions and delivery outcomes.
- Lead application modernization, performance optimization, and production stability efforts alongside mentoring junior engineers and promoting best engineering practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- 7+ years of hands-on IBM AS400 (IBM i / iSeries) development experience with strong expertise in RPG/RPGLE, Free-Form RPG, SQLRPGLE, CL/CLLE, DB2/400, Batch Processing, DFUs, Query tools.
- Experience supporting production environments and resolving complex application issues, including knowledge of IBM i APIs, Data Queues, MQ, Multi-threading, Journaling.
- Location requirement: Pune, India.

- Experienced engineer proficient in legacy AS400/IBM i technologies with strong ownership of end-to-end software delivery and production support.
- Comfortable working across global, cross-functional teams including product management and support, with demonstrated leadership in software modernization and continuous improvement.
- Experienced in Agile development practices (Scrum/Kanban) with a focus on automation, software quality, and operational reliability improvements.
