Senior, niche controls role at a Tier-1 employer in a metro raises moderate competition.
Highly industry-specific controls, grid-code and SCADA experience limits cross-industry transferability.
Explicit 10+ years and many mandatory controls, SCADA, PLC, and grid-code requirements imply strict filtering.
Own control software validation and project-specific software creation for Solar & Battery Energy Storage System projects, including FAT, SAT, HIL, and commissioning support.
Manage control deliverables tracking and ensure on-time, quality delivery by collaborating closely with project managers, internal teams, and customers.
Design and deploy control hardware configuration and communication networks; develop documentation and training materials for installation, commissioning, and operations.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Controls Engineering, or equivalent.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in developing and implementing control software.
Experience with Solar, Battery Energy Storage, and power generation industry controls including GE’s MarkVIe product and relevant tools is preferable.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (OPC-UA, Modbus, EGD, Profibus, CAN bus, IEC 61850/104), PLC, DCS, SCADA, SQL, Matlab Simulink, multiple country grid codes compliance (Australia, UK, USA, Europe, India), and AS/NZS safety standards.
Experienced in control systems integration and validation in renewable energy or related power generation sectors, with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
Capable of managing complex technical communications with customers and internal stakeholders, particularly in engineering and project management contexts.
Able to lead and mentor teams while managing multidimensional projects across culturally diverse, matrixed organizations.
