Strong Tier-1 brand and metro posting, but niche embedded firmware skills reduce applicant density.
Role requires specialized embedded firmware, silicon bring-up, and architecture knowledge, limiting cross-industry transferability.
Mandatory 5+ years plus specific embedded firmware, protocol, and tooling requirements increase filter strictness.
Lead validation and quality assurance for embedded firmware, system software, and platform components in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and automation for firmware and embedded Linux-based software stacks targeting ARM platforms.
Perform debugging, root cause analysis, silicon bring-up, board validation, and ensure compliance with quality and validation standards.
Minimum 5+ years experience in Quality Assurance and test automation of system software and firmware.
Strong programming skills in C/C++, with proficiency in Python and Bash/Shell scripting.
Experience with embedded Linux software stacks and familiarity with IO protocols such as PCIe, DDR, I2C, SPI, SPMI, UART.
Knowledge of boot processes (BIOS/UEFI), firmware components, and both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation expertise.
Experienced in end-to-end firmware validation including automation, debugging, and issue resolution in ARM-based embedded environments.
Familiar with complex hardware interfaces and system bring-up processes, showing ability to work across software and hardware validation domains.
Comfortable working in collaborative team settings focused on quality standards and release processes in advanced semiconductor ecosystems.
