About This Role
- Own L2 incident response for production issues including root cause analysis and post-mortems.
- Monitor system health to maintain SLA/SLO adherence and automate operational tasks to reduce toil.
- Participate in on-call rotation, maintain runbooks, and collaborate with development teams on deployment reliability and capacity planning.
Minimum Requirements
- 3–8 years of relevant experience in site reliability or related roles.
- Hands-on expertise with Linux operating systems (RHEL/Ubuntu) including systemd and performance tuning.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation, with strong network troubleshooting skills covering TCP/IP internals and application-level HTTP/HTTPS debugging.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced with incident escalation and operational reliability in production environments with measurable impact on SLA adherence.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills across OS, network, and application layers, able to diagnose complex latency and connectivity issues.
- Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK) and automation mind-set to drive continuous process improvements.
