About This Role
- Design and develop network systems software to control and manage hardware components (e.g., sensors, fans, power controllers, FPGAs, NICs, PCIe switches) on Arista switches and routers.
- Lead the development of features from definition through deployment, including writing software in C, C++, and Python, building automated tests, and collaborating across hardware and product teams.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship while interfacing with customers, product management, and support to resolve network issues and bring new hardware to market.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Expert knowledge of C or C++ and Python.
- Experience with UNIX or Linux systems and hands-on design/development of hardware device drivers or system management utilities.

- Experienced in working with low-level hardware components and designing software control interfaces with hardware engineers.
- Capable of independently designing solutions and implementing features within small, collaborative teams.
- Comfortable providing technical leadership across multiple projects and mentoring junior engineers in a fast-paced environment.
