About This Role
- Design, build, deploy, and operate backend APIs powering commerce functions such as subscriptions, payments, pricing, and promotions for streaming services.
- Lead technical strategy, set best practices, and influence team planning and major software design decisions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, mentor junior engineers, and drive innovation to meet both immediate and long-term business needs.
Minimum Requirements
- 5-8 years of total experience proficient in Java or other JVM languages.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and microservices architecture including asynchronous communication using gRPC and Kafka.
- Hands-on knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools like Prometheus, CloudWatch, Kibana, PagerDuty.
- Practical experience with persistence and caching solutions such as PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, and programming frameworks like Spring WebFlux, Vert.x, or Node.js.
