VW-backed Bangalore role with mid-level demand and specialized Simulink automotive skills yields moderate competition.
Highly specific automotive embedded Simulink and power-electronics control experience limits cross-industry transferability.
Explicit 5-12 years plus mandatory Simulink, AUTOSAR, and MISRA requirements raise shortlisting strictness.
Own requirement analysis, software design, and development of control functions for Power Electronics including Onboard Charger (OBC) and DCDC.
Develop control algorithms using Model Based Development tools like MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow primarily for automotive ECUs.
Implement and debug software adhering to automotive standards and protocols, including CAN, CAN FD, Flexray, Ethernet, and diagnostic protocols like UDS.
5-12 years experience in development with focus on Model Based Development of Control Algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
Degree in Electronics, Communication, Electrical, Power Electronics and Drives (B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech).
Strong knowledge of control algorithms for OBC, DCDC, and automotive power electronics systems.
Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN FD, Flexray, Ethernet) and diagnostic tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, Wireshark).
Experienced with automotive software development processes, including adherence to modeling guidelines (MXAM) and coding standards such as MISRA C/C++.
Comfortable working in SAFe agile environments and using system debugging tools like Lauterbach (TRACE32), iSYSTEM.
Skilled in automotive ECU system validation and debugging, with experience using tools like PTC-Integrity/Codebeamer/Doors, Jira, and advantage if familiar with testing tools TPT and GTEST.
