About This Role
- Design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise-grade mainframe applications using PL/I, COBOL, JCL, CICS, and IBM z/OS environments.
- Lead legacy modernization and migration initiatives including Datacom-to-VSAM migrations, ensuring data integrity and business continuity.
- Produce technical designs and collaborate with enterprise architects to define modernization approaches, while providing production support and release management in high-volume environments.
Minimum Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience in mainframe application development and modernization programs.
- Strong hands-on expertise in PL/I, COBOL, JCL, CICS, IBM z/OS, VSAM, Datacom (Broadcom CA Datacom), and IBM DB2.
- Experience in banking, financial services, insurance, or other highly regulated industries is mandatory.
- Location requirement: Bengaluru; Education: Any Graduation Degree.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in legacy code analysis, reverse engineering, and application dependency mapping to support modernization efforts.
- Skilled in managing high-volume batch and online transaction processing systems in enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, analysts, QA, and production support to ensure successful delivery and operational stability.
