About This Role
- Design, develop, and maintain high-throughput backend services and asynchronous workflows for VM provisioning, placement, and lifecycle management using Python and Go.
- Integrate backend control planes with hypervisors like KVM and QEMU to manage compute resources, storage, and virtual networking.
- Build and operate scalable APIs (gRPC, REST) supporting compute orchestration, collaborate cross-functionally to meet SLA guarantees, and monitor system performance ensuring high reliability.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience building concurrent, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Python and Go or strong experience in C++/Java with readiness to learn Python and Go.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM, QEMU, libvirt), and durable workflow orchestration engines for distributed asynchronous tasks.
- Role location: Bengaluru, India.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in developing scalable cloud infrastructure backend systems involving VM orchestration and hypervisor management.
- Strong understanding of host resource scheduling, storage/network virtualization trade-offs in multi-tenant environments.
- Able to work effectively within globally distributed teams on complex distributed systems and APIs with strong ownership and communication skills.
