About This Role
- Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for telematics firmware development.
- Manage and mentor a software engineering team delivering embedded Linux-based firmware using C and Rust.
- Define system and firmware architecture, drive firmware roadmap, platform modularization, and oversee software releases and performance optimization.
Minimum Requirements
- 15+ years of embedded software development experience including at least 5 years in an architect role.
- Expertise in embedded Linux (kernel configuration, device drivers, BSP creation) and ARM-based microprocessors/SoCs.
- Strong skills in modular C software development, multithreaded applications, and communication interfaces (CAN, RS232, I2C, SPI, Bluetooth/BLE, GSM AT Commands).
- Mandated degree in engineering; experience with automotive protocols (J1939) and telematics domain is a plus but not mandatory.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in cross-functional stakeholder management and release planning in embedded systems contexts.
- Proven ability to architect complex embedded Linux firmware platforms with a strategic focus on modularity and long-term maintainability.
- Comfortable driving new product development, security architecture (secure boot, OTA updates), and establishing coding and architectural standards.
