About This Role
- Own the resilience, health, and availability of Okta's entire global corporate network, managing alerts, monitoring, and reliability projects to maintain a secure and always-on environment.
- Lead strategic initiatives to reduce systemic toil and technical debt across teams by automating network operations, improving processes, and building scalable operational tooling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and executive stakeholders to resolve complex network issues, anticipate business impact, and mentor team members up to P4 level in operational best practices.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years related experience with Bachelor's degree; 6+ years with Master's; 3+ years with PhD, or equivalent experience.
- Technical expertise in AWS Networking and Palo Alto Networks solutions mandatory.
- Operational experience managing distributed systems and fundamental networking protocols (WiFi, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, ACLs, Routing, Firewall Policies).
- Proficiency in Cloud Platforms, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible), Observability tools (Prometheus/Grafana), programming (Python/Go), and Service Reliability Management (SLOs/SLIs) for large-scale enterprise environments.
