Principle Software Engineer (Backend) -10+ Yrs

Lead design and end-to-end delivery of new and enhanced backend features for CirclesX Telco operating system, scaling to millions of global customers.

Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams (Staff, SSE, Junior engineers) to adopt Domain Driven Design, architectural standards, and best practices.

Collaborate closely with Product and Solution Architecture teams to translate business requirements into detailed designs, ensuring performance, reliability, security compliance, and observability.

12+ years of industry experience in software engineering.

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent (MSc beneficial).

Strong expertise in backend development using Java (Spring Boot) and/or Golang, plus front-end experience with ReactJS.

Experience with SQL & NoSQL databases (MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis), containerization and Kubernetes, software design patterns, MSM, DevOps, observability, and Domain Driven Design.

Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams of 6-10 engineers in an Agile scaled environment.

Deep technical knowledge in backend architecture, performance optimization, and enterprise software integration patterns aligned to telecommunications domain.

Comfortable working collaboratively across distributed cross-functional teams and handling production support at Level 4 (L4) engineering.
