About This Role
- Manage and improve secure, reliable, automated Linux and database platforms on-premises and in Microsoft Azure environments.
- Ensure availability, disaster recovery readiness, security, lifecycle management, and reduce manual effort via scripting, automation (Ansible), and infrastructure as code.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, architecture teams, and vendors to resolve complex issues, strengthen operational controls, and improve platform observability and reliability.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience managing Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu LTS) and database platforms (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) in production environments.
- Hands-on expertise in Linux administration, scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell), patching, security hardening, performance optimization, backup and restore, and disaster recovery.
- Experience with automation/configuration management tools (Ansible preferred), hybrid cloud environments including Microsoft Azure.
- Fluent English; immediate joiners or candidates currently serving notice preferred.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in complex, high-availability Linux and relational database administration, including backup, recovery, failover, and performance tuning.
- Strong operational focus on automation, configuration management, security compliance, and hybrid cloud infrastructure support.
- Proven ability to work calmly under incident pressure and collaborate across global teams and functions.
