About This Role
- Own test strategy, execution, and QA for Okta Verify macOS app focusing on automation to replace manual testing for macOS authentication components.
- Design, maintain, and expand reusable test automation frameworks, integrating OS-level components and local security features.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed quality early in product design and maintain CI/CD pipelines including flaky test elimination and regression detection.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years Software Engineering in Test experience, with 1+ years specifically in automated validation of native macOS desktop applications.
- Strong programming skills in Swift, Objective-C, Java, or Python for automation code development.
- Understanding of macOS development paradigms, XCTest/XCUITest, application sandboxing, and Apple developer tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building and scaling test automation frameworks for complex native macOS desktop applications with deep macOS ecosystem knowledge.
- Skilled in integration testing involving OS-level security, network interception, and enterprise deployment mechanisms on macOS.
- Familiar with CI/CD workflows and reliability engineering processes, capable of collaborating with SRE and infrastructure teams to optimize test environments and alerting.
