About This Role
- Lead design and development of scalable and reliable microservices and tools for Okta's Continuous Delivery platform including Spinnaker and Terraform integrations.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code automation, deployment workflows, and APIs to enable infrastructure provisioning and application deployment at scale.
- Provide technical mentorship and influence the team's software engineering practices and technical roadmap with focus on automation, security, and operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on automation tools, platforms, or microservices in cloud environments (AWS or similar).
- 4+ years hands-on experience in Java, Go, or Python backend development for scalable platform components or tooling.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and Terraform usage.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in developing backend microservices and distributed systems with strong software engineering principles.
- Familiarity with continuous integration/delivery platforms and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and ECS from a software development perspective.
- Ability to lead technical design and mentor engineers in building secure, scalable, and reliable automation tooling for cloud infrastructure and deployments.
