About This Role
- Operate and configure Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender for continuous security monitoring and alert investigation.
- Create Sentinel playbooks and dashboards; ingest and parse various log and network data sources.
- Support SOC operations including incident investigations, alert tuning, and documentation of security procedures and runbooks.
Minimum Requirements
- 4 to 7 years of cybersecurity experience focused on SIEM technologies.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and related Microsoft security tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field.
- Certifications required: SC-200 (Microsoft Security Operations Analyst). Foundational exposure to SC-300/SC-100 and CISSP/CISM is noted.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience working in Azure and AWS cloud environments with security monitoring and investigation focus.
- Familiarity with SOC operations including alert lifecycle, runbooks, and incident investigations.
- Hands-on skills in KQL, Azure Monitor Logs, and developing dashboards within Sentinel for security metrics monitoring.
