About This Role
- Engineer and maintain Python automation for SWIFT message processing including confirmation matching and settlement clearance.
- Develop and support Python code for parsing, mapping, matching, logging, and exception reporting of SWIFT MT/MX messages, ensuring reliability and reduction of manual intervention.
- Collaborate with operations, treasury, and client IT teams across EST time zone for delivery, documentation, scheduled production runs, and incident handling.
Minimum Requirements
- Strong Python development skills with experience in integration, parsing, transformation, and automation.
- Domain expertise in SWIFT messaging including ISO 20022 formats and SWIFT network components (SNL/SNA).
- Hands-on experience with SWIFT MT messages: MT300, MT320, MT900, MT910, MT544, MT545, MT546, MT547, MT548.
- Based in Chennai with ability to work onsite and collaborate with US EST teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in banking operations related to confirmation matching, trade settlement, or exception management.
- Familiar with scheduled batch Python jobs and operational deployment in SharePoint environments.
- Skilled in SQL for reconciliation and integration, with a controls-oriented engineering mindset including logging, audit trails, and operational runbooks.
