About This Role
- Own and deliver platform solutions for the Travel integrations within Rippling's Spend Suite, enhancing seamless user experiences across multiple teams.
- Lead technical architecture decisions and serve as liaison between product leadership, engineering leadership, and technical teams.
- Take clear ownership of complex projects, mentor engineers, and contribute as a subject matter expert for one of Rippling's newest products.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong backend development and distributed systems expertise.
- Proven experience designing large-scale, fault-tolerant systems with understanding of consistency vs availability trade-offs.
- Proficiency in modern backend programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java and complex data modeling with SQL or NoSQL.
- Work Experience Required: 8+ years

- Experienced in backend architecture and distributed systems with the ability to make high-impact technical and product decisions independently.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and proactively identifying, scoping, and executing solutions without needing detailed assignments.
- Quick learner with intellectual curiosity to master complex financial domains such as treasury and money movement, even without prior domain experience.
