About This Role
- Manage and optimize enterprise VMware and Windows Server infrastructure across on-premises and cloud (Azure/AWS) environments ensuring operational stability and SLA adherence.
- Lead incident management including Major Incident calls, capacity planning, patch management, automation of operational tasks, and infrastructure performance monitoring.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and collaborate with architects and other teams on infrastructure standards, migrations, upgrades, and improvements.
Minimum Requirements
- 12+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure or systems engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, VxRail, and Windows Server (2012 to 2022).
- Experience supporting Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
- Ability to work early IST shifts starting from 6:00 AM, support 24x7 on-call rotation, and critical maintenance outside regular hours.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in ITIL-based Incident, Major Incident, Change, and Problem Management with strong operational discipline.
- Proficient in automation and scripting with PowerShell, Python or similar, and applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Has demonstrated leadership in complex infrastructure projects including P2V/V2V migrations, capacity forecasting, patch management, compliance, and disaster recovery.
