Lead design, construction, optimisation, and governance of SQL Server databases underpinning major land and infrastructure projects.
Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, develop SSRS/SSMS reports, and support Power BI data models for operational and strategic insights.
Act as primary technical database owner collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to align solutions with business needs and ensure performance, security, and data quality.
Minimum Requirements
3–5 years’ experience in data engineering including database ownership or administration.
Strong proficiency with SQL Server: schema design, indexing, optimisation, monitoring, and performance tuning.
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, SSRS, SSMS, Python or R, and Power BI.
Experience with spatial databases (PostGIS or SQL Server spatial) and GIS tools (QGIS, ArcGIS).
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced data engineer with demonstrated accountability for database architecture and operations in complex, multidisciplinary project environments.
Proficient in building scalable, secure, high-quality data pipelines and reporting solutions integrating diverse data sources including geospatial data.
Capable of translating business requirements into technical solutions while managing documentation, governance, and stakeholder communications effectively.
