Tier-1 brand, generic Software Engineer title, mid-level experience band, and Bangalore location increase competition.
Strong embedded automotive firmware, hardware debugging, and in-vehicle network requirements create high domain bias and low transferability.
Explicit 2–5 year requirement plus mandatory embedded, RTOS, automotive network and security skills increases shortlisting strictness.
Develop production-ready embedded software and ROM-based firmware for automotive infotainment products involving audio and sensor connectivity using proprietary ADI networks like E2B.
Design and develop middleware software stacks including Ethernet-based protocols and cybersecurity stacks like MACSEC and MKA, ensuring compliance.
Translate customer and internal SDV and zonal architecture requirements into software designs; test and debug embedded software to meet quality standards.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
2-5 years of related industry experience in embedded software development.
Strong skills in embedded C/C++ programming and experience with signal processing fundamentals.
Location: Bengaluru, India; willingness to travel 10% of the time.
Experience developing embedded automotive software with familiarity in system firmware, RTOS, Linux/Android applications, and automotive networks like CAN/MOST/A2B.
Ability to debug hardware issues using schematics, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
Demonstrated capability to develop object-oriented software (preferably C#) and work within complex real-time multiprocessor environments.
