Own configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of ServiceNow Discovery application including patterns, data sources, and schedules across multiple networks and instances.
Monitor and resolve discovery errors, stale CI issues, integration/data discrepancies, and ensure completion of scheduled discovery jobs to maintain CMDB accuracy.
Support and expand IT Asset Management (ITAM) program by collaborating with CMDB, HAM, SAM, and APM teams and contributing to documentation and governance of discovery processes.
Minimum Requirements
5+ years experience as a ServiceNow ITOM Administrator.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – Discovery required.
Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, scripting languages (PowerShell, XML, JSON, JavaScript), and IT infrastructure concepts (Windows/Linux, Active Directory, networking).
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in managing ServiceNow Discovery in complex multi-network and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, VMware).
Capable of collaborating across IT, Security, Legal, and Engineering teams to drive ITAM improvements and maintain CMDB integrity.
Strong hands-on technical skills in ServiceNow ITOM suite with ability to develop and implement discovery governance and integration solutions using REST APIs and ServiceNow Integration Hub.
