About This Role
- Develop and maintain full-stack software systems for Google’s Payments platform, including back-end and front-end components.
- Lead or participate in design reviews and code reviews to ensure best practices in code quality, efficiency, and testability.
- Debug and resolve product or system issues impacting hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
- At least 2 years of full-stack development experience including back-end languages (Java, Python, Golang, or C++) and front-end technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
- In-person interviews required as part of the hiring process.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Engineer comfortable working across the full stack, with ability to lead technical discussions and reviews.
- Experience in high-scale, consumer-facing payment systems or similar financial technology platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in writing maintainable, testable, and efficient code combined with troubleshooting complex production issues.
