Install, test, implement, maintain, enhance, and support z/VM operating systems, subsystems, and infrastructure applications.
Perform problem analysis and collaborate with IBM to resolve issues across all supported subsystems.
Execute Disaster Recovery (DR) activities ensuring z/VM systems can failover and failback without business interruptions.
Minimum Requirements
8+ years of experience with z/VM Hypervisor, CP, CMS, SFS, networking (VSWITCH, VTAM, TCP/IP, RSCS), and Linux on Z builds.
Minimum 7 years systems support experience including IBM software service procedures in z/VM environment.
Expert proficiency in installation, configuration, and maintenance of z/VM environment, network interfaces, and directory management.
Work Experience Required: Minimum 8 years with specified z/VM technologies and 7 years in systems support.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in managing complex z/VM systems with strong problem-solving and IBM coordination skills.
Capable of handling multiple simultaneous tasks and executing DR activities effectively.
Subject matter expert able to contribute to project teams for support and implementation of new technologies.
