About This Role
- Develop and maintain BSP components, device trees, and Linux kernel components for embedded ARM and x86 platforms.
- Own hardware bring-up, driver enablement, device tree configuration, patch backporting, CVE fixes, and debugging for embedded Linux systems.
- Collaborate across distributed teams, participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and mentor junior engineers on embedded Linux tasks.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years software engineering experience with at least 2 years on embedded systems/embedded Linux.
- Strong C programming skills on Linux, plus solid understanding of embedded systems, Linux kernel drivers, device trees, boot flow.
- Experience with Yocto/OpenEmbedded or similar build systems and strong debugging skills using tools like GDB, kernel logs, serial console.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in embedded Linux BSP/kernel development with proven ability to independently own hardware enablement and kernel component tasks.
- Familiar with Linux kernel internals, embedded hardware bring-up, device trees, and patch management in a production environment.
- Operates effectively in cross-geography Agile teams, contributing to code reviews, mentoring, and documentation while incrementally taking on broader responsibilities.
