Tier-1 brand and Bangalore location increase applicant density, but specialized datapath/ASIC skills moderate competition.
Highly specialized networking/datapath and ASIC experience limits cross-industry transferability of candidates.
Explicit 7-9 years, mandatory networking/datapath ASIC experience, and low-level C/kernel skills enforce strict filters.
Develop and maintain complex Layer 2 and Layer 3 datapath forwarding features including IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, SRv6, EVPN-VxLAN, Multicast, Firewall, and DHCP.
Analyze, debug and resolve complex microkernel/Linux related issues affecting datapath software.
Collaborate with customer-facing teams to translate requirements into design and assist in resolving complex customer issues to ensure satisfaction.
Bachelor's degree (B.E or B.Tech) in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering from reputed institution.
7 to 9 years of software development experience, with strong C/C++/Python programming and debugging skills.
Mandatory strong networking background including deep knowledge in IPv4/IPv6, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, DHCP, STP, or Multicast (at least one protocol in depth).
Prior experience with datapath ASICs (e.g. Broadcom, Mellanox, Innovium) or NPUs is highly desirable; role requires onsite presence primarily at HPE office.
Experienced in developing software for routers and switches in multi-core architectures with a strong understanding of computer architecture and data structures.
Proven track record of delivering software projects on-time with high quality in a technical role requiring problem solving and customer engagement.
Technical expertise with low-level OS concepts (IPC, synchronization), networking protocols, and debugging tools like GDB with scripting/macros.
