About This Role
- Own end-to-end development, deployment, and maintenance of backend data pipeline components collecting and processing data from over 25 million endpoints.
- Collaborate closely with Endpoint engineers and Product team to deliver data collection features and build a cloud platform emphasizing automation, code quality, and maintainability.
- Leverage DevOps and CI/CD practices to enhance system reliability, monitoring, and operational excellence on AWS infrastructure.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably with backend or data-intensive systems.
- Strong Java skills with deep understanding of JVM (Java 17 and 21), concurrency, and multithreading concepts.
- Experience building microservices using Spring Boot or Micronaut, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
- Hands-on expertise with high-volume SQL databases (e.g., Postgres), Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams, and AWS service operations including monitoring and alerting.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced developer comfortable owning complex backend services and data pipelines in large-scale, distributed cloud environments.
- Strong practical skills in concurrency, event-driven microservices, and operationalizing backend systems with a DevOps mindset.
- Proficient in working with real-time data processing technologies and collaborating cross-functionally with product and endpoint engineering teams.
