About This Role
- Own architecture, design, and delivery of Citi's next-gen global Instant Payments platform with high-performance, low-latency transaction processing.
- Lead and mentor engineering team with hands-on involvement in technical design, code quality, and resolution of complex distributed systems challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to build scalable, resilient, secure payment capabilities supporting multiple real-time payment networks and regulatory jurisdictions.
Minimum Requirements
- 12+ years software engineering experience including large-scale payment or financial technology platforms.
- Expert Java development with concurrency, low-latency design, and distributed systems skills.
- 5+ years hands-on AWS experience building and operating cloud-native applications.
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, REST APIs, messaging (Kafka), instant payments, and platform delivery leadership.
