Translate customer requirements into software design and develop complex Layer 2 & Layer 3 packet forwarding features including IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, SRv6, EVPN-VxLAN, Multicast, Firewall/Filter, DHCP.
Analyze, debug, and resolve complex microkernel/Linux issues and provide sustenance for existing features.
Drive innovation by collaborating with cross-functional teams and address complex customer issues to enhance satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (B.E or B.Tech) from a reputed institution.
7 to 9 years of professional software development experience.
Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming, design, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Onsite work requirement at HPE office; prior experience with networking and datapath ASICs (e.g., Broadcom, Mellanox, Innovium, Barefoot) is highly desirable.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experienced in software development for routers and switches with a deep networking background.
Comfortable working on multi-core software architectures and familiar with networking protocols such as IPv4/IPv6, TCP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, DHCP, STP, or Multicast.
Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality software projects on time with strong technical ownership and debugging expertise.
