About This Role
- Develop and enhance Layer 2 and Layer 3 packet forwarding features including IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, SRv6, EVPN-VxLAN, Multicast, Firewall/Filter, DHCP.
- Analyze, debug, and resolve complex microkernel/Linux and networking issues with a focus on customer satisfaction and sustaining existing features.
- Collaborate with customer-facing teams and cross functional teams to translate requirements into software design and drive innovations.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) from a reputed institution.
- 7 to 9 years of software engineering experience, preferably with strong networking background and router/switch software development experience.
- Proficiency in C, C++, Python programming; experience with datapath ASICs like Broadcom, Mellanox, Innovium, Barefoot, or NPUs is highly desirable.
- Experience with multi-core software architectures, strong understanding of OS concepts, networking protocols (IPv4/IPv6, TCP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, DHCP, STP, Multicast), and debugging tools such as GDB. Role is primarily onsite at HPE office.
