About This Role
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, high-quality Java-based microservices and APIs using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools like Copilot or Claude Code to improve code quality, delivery speed, and automation within Agile SDLC.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications ensuring all design constraints and secure coding standards are met.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of formal training or applied experience in software engineering with hands-on system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced Java programming skills including OO design, concurrency, performance tuning, debugging, and experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, Security, JPA, Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch, and unit/integration testing.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot/Claude Code) for code generation, testing, and documentation with validation of AI outputs for security and accuracy.
- Practical knowledge of SDLC, Kubernetes, agile methodologies (CI/CD, resiliency, security), and experience building AI/LLM-enabled workflows with understanding of responsible AI use and data sensitivity.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced mid-level to senior Java developer comfortable with complex microservices development in large corporate or financial services environments.
- Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate and integrate AI-assisted coding tools while maintaining security, correctness, and test coverage in production code.
- Familiar with AI agents and LLM workflows including prompt engineering and safe data handling, with hands-on knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes) and modern cloud-native application patterns.
