About This Role
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable backend services and APIs with operational responsibility for performance, reliability, and security.
- Embed application security principles throughout the software development lifecycle, including vulnerability identification, secure coding, and remediation.
- Integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows to ensure secure deployment and production monitoring.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, specifically in backend and API development.
- Strong hands-on experience with application security including OWASP Top 10, secure coding practices, and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience with DevSecOps practices including CI/CD pipeline security integrations and Git-based development workflows.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced hands-on backend developer with a demonstrated history of deploying secure production-grade backend services and APIs.
- Skilled at embedding security throughout design, development, deployment, and monitoring phases, not limited to security theory.
- Proficient in translating security requirements into technical solutions and independently identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities early in the development lifecycle.
