About This Role
- Lead and coach multiple software engineering teams with Java backend development and cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
- Set and scale enterprise-wide AI-assisted engineering practices and automation to improve delivery speed, quality, and operational outcomes across teams.
- Own decisions impacting team resources, budgets, operations, and cross-team collaboration to execute and improve technical initiatives and processes.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years applied software engineering experience plus 2+ years leading technologists and managing complex technical challenges.
- Strong Java backend development skills including Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, SQL, Cloud Foundry, and distributed system design.
- Experience with AWS cloud services (Aurora Postgres, ECS/Fargate, EC2) and building scalable, reliable services.
- Experience leading multi-team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development/tools with governance and security focus.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced technical leader capable of mentoring and coaching entry to mid-level engineers on complex technical initiatives at scale.
- Ability to define and implement AI-assisted development governance, ensuring secure, compliant, and effective tool usage across teams.
- Familiar with financial services or connected commerce IT systems and able to collaborate effectively across engineering and product stakeholders.
