Structured overview of role & requirements
About This Role
- Own the entire process of building product positioning and website copy for early-stage technical founders, from initial product understanding through launch and ongoing improvement.
- Lead interviews with founders and customers to define messaging, then collaborate with designers and developers to create user-focused, conversion-optimized websites and marketing collateral.
- Establish and build the product marketing practice at Parallel including scoping, discovery, quality control, outcome measurement, and future team hiring and development.
Minimum Requirements
- Work Experience Required: Experience in product marketing or related roles involving technical products; not explicitly quantified.
- Technical fluency with ability to understand complex products, possibly including background in computer science or engineering; explicit understanding of product workings is necessary.
- Proven ability to develop clear product positioning and compelling website copy from complex products.
- Practical knowledge of conversion optimization and website analytics to link visitor behavior with actionable website improvements.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced with hands-on leadership in building new functions or practices within a studio or agency environment.
- Comfortable working directly with technical founders of early-stage companies who may lack formal marketing teams and require building core messaging from scratch.
- Skilled in integrating product understanding, design judgment, and data-driven conversion insights to create cohesive storytelling and user experiences that drive customer action.
