About This Role
- Manage installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning of enterprise firewall solutions (Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, cloud firewalls) across hybrid public cloud environments.
- Administer firewall hardware and virtual appliances using centralized management, ensuring security policy enforcement aligned to standards and troubleshoot complex routing and network issues (BGP, OSPF, VPN).
- Develop and implement automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform) for firewall deployment and operations, monitor network activity, support incident response, audits, documentation, and participate in on-call rotations.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years hands-on firewall engineering experience with at least one major platform (Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or cloud firewalls).
- 3+ years formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise security, advanced networking (routing, switching, load balancing), and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
- Scripting/automation experience with Python, Ansible, Terraform or similar tools; proficiency in Linux OS and command-line troubleshooting.
