About This Role
- Design, develop, and own backend REST APIs and microservices powering large-scale learning and governance products serving millions across India.
- Build and deploy AI-enhanced backend features, ensuring high performance, low latency, and availability in both cloud and on-premise (including State Data Centres) environments.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and frontend teams to troubleshoot, deploy, and operate backend services, applying best practices for scalability and reliability.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 2 years professional experience in backend engineering.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6), Node.js, and frameworks like Express.js or Restify; strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and backend service design for large-scale data handling.
- Experience deploying and managing applications in hybrid environments (cloud + on-premise) is preferred; familiarity with databases (MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB) and version control (Git).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced backend engineer comfortable with architecting scalable, high-availability systems for public sector or large user bases, including deployments in government/state data centres.
- Skilled in building complex backend features integrating AI tools and comfortable with hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructures.
- Technically proficient with backend frameworks, deployment automation, troubleshooting, and deep understanding of clean architecture and software design principles.
