Senior Backend Software Engineer – Cloud & DevOps

Design, build, deploy, and operate cloud-native, microservice-based backend solutions end-to-end with ownership of quality, reliability, performance, and sustainability.

Lead architecture and technical direction for complex systems and critical components, including reducing technical debt and managing systemic risks.

Take full responsibility for the DevOps lifecycle including development, testing, deployment, monitoring, production support, and mentoring engineers within a cross-functional Agile team.

8–12 years of professional experience in software engineering, backend development, cloud engineering, or related fields.

Strong hands-on experience with Java 11 or higher and AWS (including Lambda, EC2, ECS, SNS/SQS, IAM, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, API Gateway).

Strong experience with Kubernetes (building, deploying, administering), microservices architecture, JUnit, TDD, Git, and CI/CD in production environments.

Work location: Central Bangalore, India with hybrid work setup.

Experienced technical leader comfortable making pragmatic decisions balancing quality, customer value, cost, and business impact for complex systems.

Proven ability to lead architecture, reduce technical debt, establish engineering standards, and influence cross-functional teams in a distributed environment.

Strong sense of ownership across individual and team delivery outcomes, with a focus on mentoring and sustainable, maintainable solutions.
